Plastering & Rendering

Our professional, reliable plastering service leaves your space looking flawless while ensuring durability for everyday living, for homes and businesses across Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex.

Skilled in repairing damaged walls and ceilings, applying smooth and flawless finishes, skimming over old surfaces and externally rendering your property, our plasterers deliver long-lasting perfection — no matter the scale of the project.

Known for cleanliness and tidiness on the job, our team upholds the highest quality of work from preparation through to the final finish.

What plastering services do we offer?

A flawless finish starts with proper preparation. We make good cracks and damage, treat problem areas and apply the right backing before skimming to a flat, polished surface ready for paint. Whether you are skimming over tired walls, plastering a fresh extension or boarding and dry-lining a new room, the result is a clean, even finish that lasts. We skim single rooms, whole houses and fresh extensions alike, and we are as happy making good a hundred-year-old ceiling as boarding out a brand-new stud wall.

Do we handle external rendering and weatherproofing?

Render protects your home as much as it smartens it. We apply and repair traditional sand-and-cement render as well as modern through-coloured and silicone systems, sealing out damp and giving the exterior a crisp, durable finish. Done properly, render shrugs off the British weather for years rather than cracking and blowing within a couple of winters.

How do we keep plastering clean and dust-free?

Plastering is messy work in the wrong hands. Our team sheets up, protects floors and fittings, and clears away at the end of each day, so the only thing you are left with is a perfect surface. Fresh plaster typically needs a few days to dry fully before painting — we will tell you exactly how long for your job.

FAQ

Plastering & Rendering — frequently asked questions

How long before I can paint new plaster?

A skim coat usually needs two to seven days to dry fully, depending on conditions, while backing coats and external render take longer. We will advise the right drying time for your specific job and recommend a mist coat first.

Can you skim over artex or old walls?

Yes. In most cases we can prepare and skim directly over artex and sound existing surfaces for a smooth modern finish, avoiding the mess of removal. Where a surface is unsound, we will make it good first.

Do you carry out external rendering and repairs?

Yes. We apply and repair traditional sand-and-cement render and modern silicone and through-coloured systems, weatherproofing and refreshing the exterior of your property.
