What bespoke joinery can we make for your home?
Off-the-shelf rarely fits an older home — alcoves are never square and ceilings are never level. Our joiners design and build fitted furniture, alcove units, window seats, wardrobes and shelving made to the millimetre for your space, so it looks built-in rather than bought-in. Much of our joinery work is in period cottages and farmhouses across the South Downs, where standard units simply do not fit and made-to-measure is the only honest answer.
From a single bookcase to a whole boot room or home study, we work with you on materials, proportions and finish, then install to a standard that stands up to daily use.
Can you repair and restore existing woodwork?
Not everything needs replacing. We repair and re-hang sticking or dropped doors, ease and refit windows, splice and restore worn floorboards, and bring tired furniture back to life. Period features — staircases, panelling, skirting and architrave — are matched to the existing profiles so repairs disappear into the original.
Which materials and finishes do we work with?
We work in hardwoods, softwoods, ply and modern sheet materials, choosing the right one for the job, the setting and the budget. Every piece is properly prepared, fixed and finished, ready for paint, oil or wax — and we leave the workspace swept and clear.
