The brief
CYC:D in Farnham wanted to turn a standard unit into a premium training space with a distinct identity — a reconfigured layout, a welcoming reception and a bespoke coffee bar that would make the gym as much a place to linger as to train. The fit-out had to feel designed, not assembled, and be delivered to a fixed three-month deadline.
The challenge
A commercial fit-out lives or dies on the details and the timeline. Every element — the electrical first fix, the new partition walls, the bespoke joinery — had to be sequenced to hit a hard opening date, with no margin for the delays and clashes that plague poorly run projects. The bespoke pieces, in particular, had to match the brand exactly.
Our approach
JFD project-managed the transformation end to end. We carried out a meticulous electrical installation, built new walls to reshape the space into a better-flowing layout, and crafted a bespoke coffee bar and reception desk to complement the gym’s aesthetic and function. One coordinated team kept first fix, construction and finishing trades moving in lockstep.
